The Northrop F5 is one of the most widely used lightweight fighters flying today.
Named the 'Freedom Fighter', it was conceived as a 'simple' machine when other manufactures
were building large complex aeroplanes. Many countries have been upgrading the sophistication levels of their F5s to extend the service life. The Swiss use many of the type.
