Based at Keflavik, Iceland the 57th FIS operated the Convair F102 Delta Dagger from
1964 to 1973. The location assured that the 'Black Knights', as the squadron was known,
were at the sharp end of many intercepts of Russian aircraft over the north Atlantic. F102A 56-1418 is seen on a visit to Leuchars to uplift fuel, September 1972
