McDonnell Douglas has developed the Northrop YF17 into th F/A18 Hornet. The F/A designation is used because the aircraft is configured for both fighter and attack operations. F/A18A Hornet 16288-1
300/NF of VFA192 is seen departing Oshkosh, WI in August 1986. Later that year the unit moved to NAS Atsugi. Japan.
